Do you ever wonder how to decorate for Spring, especially after Easter?
Spring is here, the bunnies, chicks have all being put away until next year, now what?
I have a couple easy Spring decorating ideas for you.
The flowers are blooming, the birds are singing their merry tunes, and busy building their nests.
One of the easiest Spring ideas is to bring bird nests into your decor. They can be found at almost any hobby or decor store, and if you are fortunate enough, perhaps you have found a bird’s nest left from previous owners who have flown the proverbial coop.
Bird nests can be used throughout the home, on a bookshelf, a tray, in a nook, as part of a vignette. Adding birds nests is an easy way to bring nature and Spring into your home.
Another easy Spring decor idea is using potted plants or flowers. Now that Spring is here it’s nice to bring the beauty indoors as well as out.
I love to have an abundance of flowers. From growing my cottage garden, to bringing them indoors as part of my decor. You don’t have to think of cut flowers only, what about a potted plant? There are so many types of plants available. I think the only thing you would have to consider is which plant is right for your home, not just stylistically but for the health and safety of children and pets. That will have to be another blog post!
Potted plants can go anywhere you want to place them in your home, from real to faux, they will add some cheeriness and color to your space. I happen to like a pretty, neutral living space. Since our cottage has an open floor plan, our main living spaces are all painted in Swiss Coffee, a nice creamy neutral white. It’s like a blank slate that I can add different accessories and bring color in, such as with live and faux plants. I’d have flowers in my home every day if I could, I want all the flowers!
Other simple and easy Spring decorating ideas is to change up your pillows and replace them with something more colorful. Add a botanical print, or floral pillows, or perhaps a nautical theme if you live near, or love the ocean. These are simple ways to decorate for Spring that are easy, inexpensive, and bring the outdoors in. Happy Spring decorating my friends! Let me know if you like to bring the outdoors into your home as well.
